With a little ingenuity, some light-bending, and the help of a light reaper (one of the good guys! Maybe . . . ), her cute crush, and oh yeah, her guardian angel, Madison's ready to take control of her own destiny once and for all, before it takes control of her.

I liked this first book (even though it didn't hook me up as some other books i read). I'm looking forward to the next books in this series. I was a light and easy read. The world-building was interesting, but sometimes a bit confusing (this could also been due to me reading this book mostly on my way to work in the morning). I liked the characters, but i also like to see more about their background. It was entertaining enough to read the whole trilogy.
