4.5 stars ⭐️ I really adored this book but it wasn't as good as Anna and I cant stop comparing the two of them. (I think I might be a bit in love with Étienne St. Clair )
Ohmygodanothercutebookyaaas 5 stars because it was so cute AGAIN. I love the setting, the characters (except Max duh) and the backstories. Although I have a feeling that the backstories weren't as detailed as the ones in Anna and the French Kiss. And that there wasn't as much plot. Buuuut I still loved it and I can't wait for Isla and the Happily Ever After! :D P.S.: Lola's parents!!! :D P.S.S.: Anna and Étienne :D
NOOO!! I don't want this book to end! It's such a beautiful story and I don't want to stop reading about Lola and Cricket <3 I don't even know if I like this one more or Anna and the French Kiss. Both stories are just magical and I really enjoyed reading them <3 <3 <3
Not as good as the first, but definitely sweet and a fast read. I didn't feel as connect with the characters as with Anna and St.Clair. And I really, really despised Lola's boyfriend Max.
4.5 stars! She's done it again! I devoured Anna & Etienne's story and now I was finally able to pick up the second book ... and the timing was perfect. It's getting warmer outside, the sun is shining and I feel all these amazing things while reading about Lola and Cricket. I mean, come on ... they're both gorgeous and I couldn't help but smile most of the time! "I know you aren't perfect. But it's a person's imperfections that make them perfect for someone else." As in the previous book her characters are again all realistic, likeable and unique. Especially Lola. She wears wigs, amazing - but also kind of crazy - dresses and costumes and is in general just different. I liked her right from the beginning and even though I couldn't understand some of her decisions she never really bothered me. She made mistakes but always tried to right them afterwards - and that's actually pretty mature for her age. She realized when she had to apologize and when she did something wrong and I admired that about her. I doubt every 17 year old teen would act like that. Now let me talk about the boy next door, Cricket FREAKING Bell. First of all ... why are no cute boys living in my neighbourhood? Why don't I have a cute neighbour? Ugh! I wouldn't mind having someone like Cricket living next door ... wouldn't even mind falling in love with him because he's amazing. At first I wasn't sure about him, I mean, he did hurt Lola and she never really got over it but he definitely made up for it! He's honest, always there for Lola and generelly just a good guy. Not to mention that he's also good-looking, tall and OH GOD, whenever he blushed or nervously played with his bracelets and rubber bands I couldn't stop smiling at how CUTE he is! I mean, seriously?! It just made him so much more adorable and lovable! "And if I'm the stars, Cricket Bell is entire galaxies." To me, side characters are also a very important part of a book! And I can say that I fell in love with Lola's dads (yes, you heard right: plural!) as well. They were supportive and always there when she needed someone to talk to. I also loved how funny and hilarious they were at times but then again you could see what great parents they actually are! And then there were also Anna and St. Clair. HELL YES! I actually missed these two so, so much and I was really glad that they made a few appearances in the book. Just to see that they're okay and still happily together made me smile so much - I had no doubt about that but still. I just have to say that this was gorgeous! A quick, easy and super sweet book about the first love with brilliant and unique characters that'll make you smile and squeak with pleasure and excitement. It's totally worth a read, so let me get this straight ... if you haven't read Stephanie Perkins books yet, you definitely need to! Very, very soon! You'll love them! :) www.aworldbetweenfoldedpages.blogspot.com
What a nice story. Pretty much goes along the lines of girl meets boy, falls for him, boys falls for girl too. Stuff happens and boy needs to move away then when he comes back girl is with someone else and the story begins. It was nice to see a tie in of characters from the first book too. A proper feel good book.
