Beschreibung

Celaena Sardothien is her kingdom's most feared assassin. Though she works for the powerful and ruthless Assassin's Guild, Celaena yields to no one and trusts only her fellow killer for hire, Sam.

When Celaena's scheming master, Arobynn Hamel, dispatches her on missions that take her from remote islands to hostile deserts, she finds herself acting independently of his wishes-and questioning her own allegiance. Along the way, she makes friends and enemies alike, and discovers that she feels far more for Sam than just friendship. But by defying Arobynn's orders, Celaena risks unimaginable punishment, and with Sam by her side, he is in danger, too. They will have to risk it all if they hope to escape Arobynn's clutches-and if they fail, they'll lose not just a chance at freedom, but their lives . . .

A prequel to Throne of Glass, this collection of five novellas offers readers a deeper look into the history of this cunning assassin and her enthralling-and deadly-world.

Was anderes wäre eine Beleidigung. Jeder Fantasy Reader sollte diese Reihe lesen!

The Assassin and the Pirate Lord I really love Celaena!

I think Sam is a much better love interest than Dorian or Chaol. Only 4.5 stars because it was too short. I would have much rather read more. I didn't read The Assassin's Blade in one go, but spent a long time researching which order to read Throne of Glass in. I've now decided in favour of the variant where you read the first part of The Assassin's Blade after the first part, the second part of The Assassin's Blade after the second part and so on as a kind of prologue before each book And because I haven't read it all at once, I thought I'd just write a post about each individual book. So I think Celaena is amazing here too, she's such a strong character and I really recommend everyone in the world to read this series of books. It's so worth it. ! Spoiler! I'm not entirely sure Rolfe didn't break the contracts when Celaena was in Endovier. I hope not, but I think he did. I hope he comes back in Throne of Glass and the two meet again.

The Assassin and the Pirate Lord

I really love Celaena!

A slow start, but hope for whats to come 🥹

In hindsight, starting with this book might not have been the best choice. I probably should’ve begun with the first two or three books of the series and then grab AB. While the premise had potential, I found myself struggling to stay engaged through the first half. It took me nearly six months to finish the first section, which felt slow and lacked the pull I was hoping for. Fortunately, the pace and quality picked up in the second half, which made the experience more enjoyable, but it still didn’t quite hook me in the way I expected. That being said, I’m optimistic for the rest of the series. Hopefully, it continues to build on the momentum from the second half and delivers the excitement I’m looking for and see in all of you!

Mein Herz 💔

My name is Sam Cortland and I will not be afraid 🥺💔

That completely destroyed me!

! Spoiler ! Because I read Assasin's Blade after Throne of Glass, I know that Sam is tortured to death. And that's really fucked up because he's my favourite character and nobody should die like that. I mean, I didn‘t even Read that far yet to know that he is going to die but ever since he confessed his love to Celaena I've been crying because it rips my heart out for me and it feels like someone is stepping on it Especially because I haven't even read to that point. And I don't really want that either. I hope they have some time together in the final story of Assassin’s Blade before he dies and Celaena comes to Endovier! ! Spoilers ! (for one of the later ToG parts I'm not sure which one. It spoiled me too but I thought that was pretty inaccurate) If Rowan is Aelin's mate, then Sam is Celaena's

That completely destroyed me!

I chose to start the Throne of Glass series with this one, and I'm so happy with my choice. Really can't imagine regretting it at a later point! It introduces Celaena's character in a super captivating way, with each story getting more and more exciting and touching. I love her already and can't wait to see what happens next!

"You said you didn't care what I thought. Or what I did. Or if I died, if I'm not mistaken." I lied! And you know I lied, you stupid bastard!" I'm still reeling from the ending of the book. I don't want to talk about my feelings because I'll need time to process this. My heart has been ripped out and torn to shreds. I just can't. Someone dig me a grave. I am though very curious about the rest of the series. Hoping for a light at the end of a tunnel here. Sarah J. Maas I love you, but I hate you.

Oh Sam… 🤍
