"AUSTIN ROARERS™" is the latest project by lyricist-songwriter, novelist & caricaturist Maik Herrmann who follows the legendary, so-called progressive songwriting craftsmanship startet by Kris Kristofferson, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Billy Joe Shaver, Roger Miller, Shel Silverstein, Harlan Howard, Steve Goodman or John Prine. Combined strongly with influences by Albert Hammond, Barry Gibb, John Fogerty, Neil Diamond, Roy Orbison, Steppenwolf's John Kay or Jacques Brel, Turner Stephen Bruton & Norah Jones. Maik has won several songwriting contest awards, including Song Of The Year's "Collective Works Songwriting Award" & Song Of The Year's "Semi-Finalist Songwriting Award", both in the category "Lyric Only". He continues writing lyrics (also for hire) & the "AUSTIN ROARERS™" project.
