Über Anna Babyashkina

Anna Babyashkina is an award-winning author. Born in 1979 in small-town Central Russia, she obtained a degree in Journalism from Moscow University. She works as chief editor of Livebook Publishing House and has several published novels to her name. She is the winner of the Debut and Elektronnaya Bukva literary awards, and was shortlisted for the Belkin Prize and the Natsbest Award. She has been recognized for her translations of modern literature from English to Russian, including novels by Sally Rooney, and was a Finalist of the Nora Gal Award for translating prose from English and a nominee for the Master translation prize. Nowadays, she lives in Belgrade with her husband, daughter, and a papillon dog, Shaggy.
