Tropes: – enemies/rivals to lovers – sports romance – sapphic – do–captains – forced proximity – coming of age
I just LOVED the tension between Vale and Leticia, their chemistry is the best and because of that I was easily hooked by the story. I have to admit soccer isn‘t exactly my cup of tea, and soccer is without a doubt a major part in the book, but with these two I‘ve come to actually care for it, because this also focuses a lot on the team and their dynamics (and of course Vale & Leticia‘s). And something I also think this book does more than well is Vale‘s character development. Just wow, she has grown so much throughout the book, worked through her issues and her fears. In all honesty, I think she is the best part of this. 4.5/5⭐️
⤷‧₊˚3.5⭑ „i‘ll help you under two conditions.“ she ticks them off. „one: you beg.“ „i beg your pardon?“ „close but not quite what i had in mind.“ it’s a surprise that i like a book about football even though i'm not usually a fan of it. i don't really care about soccer, but here i am loving a sapphic soccer romance. the story was great. i liked that it focuses on abuse, finding your worth and grief the only problem i had was the pace. everything was great at first, but then it felt rushed.
