Die Story war wirklich schön und mir hat gefallen wie viele verschiedene Themen hier angeschnitten wurden. ☺️ Vor allem Tiny habe ich sehr ins Herz geschlossen. 😍

Gespannt habe ich das Buch begonnen und war zu Beginn auch schon von den Formulierungen verwirrt. (Ich habe die englische Version gelesen). Ich musste mich sehr darauf konzentrieren, was geschieht, damit ich überhaupt mitkomme. Dann kam ein Schlüsselmoment und ich war einfach nur baff, weil ich nicht damit gerechnet habe, jetzt ergab auch alles Sinn und das erklärt auch, warum ich so verwirrt war. Wenn man die Inhaltsangabe gelesen hat, ist es vielleicht einfach zu verstehen, dass es um zwei verschiedene Personen geht. Der Schreibstil von den beiden wundervollen Autoren ist der absolute Wahnsinn und wieder mal ein wundervolles Buch, wo es nicht nur um die Liebe geht, sondern auch um Freundschaft und um das pure Leben. Persönlich ist mir Janes Will Grayson lieber, er wirkt einfach sympathischer, doch auch Tiny ist ein so eindrücklicher Charakter. Ich wurde von dem Buch wirklich überrascht, weil ich die Inhaltsangabe auch nicht gelesen habe. Die Geschichte nimmt Wendungen, welche man nicht vorhergesehen hat. Die Geschichte hat kein wirkliches Ziel, doch wird es nicht langweilig und man will trotzdem den Zusammenhang der beiden Will Graysons kennenlernen. Wie wahrscheinlich ist es, dass zwei Personen mit demselben Namen aufeinander treffen?

There is this one super depressing Will and the totally clichè gay Will. I didn't like either of them much but the depressing one really just was that. Depressing. The writing was obviously not a fail but the characters just did not appeal to me. One was constantly complaining and ungrateful meanwhile the other one acted as if he was a damn Superstar. And even though the "Superstar" one was more likable - simply because he had a kinda childish point of view and a very colourful personality he just was too much for me. I do not regret buying the book but I would not read it again. But that is simply because I had issues connecting with any of the Characters. I am sure there is quite a lot people out there that would love one or the other, maybe even both Will Graysons.

I don't really know if i liked it or if I didn't like it because there were so many parts where i was like uh where is this going and there were parts where I was like Oh my god this book is fun. I am happy because it was not typical John Green characters but disappointed because they were not as strong. The title on the other hand is misleading, I wanted more of Will Grayson, Will Grayson to happen rather than - Will Grayson- Tiny - Will Grayson, the title somehow suggested it was Will Grayson eccentric story it kind of is because it is from their POVs but I felt it is a story about Tiny from the perspective of two different people who turn out to be very important in his life. The story is kind of draggy and towards the end you are like woah okay there is a life lesson there, hold up. I WANTED TO READ THE PLAY OR UNDERSTAND IT BETTER IT WAS LIKE A SWOOSH AND I AM DISAPPOINTED!!

Diese Rezension halte ich deswegen kurz, weil ich weiss, dass hier meine persönliche Meinung nicht die Qualität des Buches widerspiegelt. Das sage ich deswegen, weil ich keine Jugendbücher mehr lese und sie mir auch nicht mehr gefallen. Dieses hier habe ich nur durchgezogen, weil es auf mehrere Challenges gepasst hat (irgendwo steckt immer eine YA-Aufgabe *seufz* Ich werde wohl zu alt für das Internet...). Green und Levithan schreiben wirklich sehr gut und wäre ich ca. 15 Jahre jünger, hätte mir "Will Grayson, Will Grayson" bestimmt gefallen. Sie greifen alle Themen auf, die junge Leser interessieren und bringen diese glaubhaft rüber. Dabei sind ihre Figuren so real, dass sie mir enorm auf den Kieker gingen. Das gute an "echten" Jugendlichen ist, dass man sie getrost ignorieren kann. Geht bei den Hauptfiguren eines Jugendbuches aber nicht. Dabei hat mir das Buch gezeigt, dass ich definitiv nie wieder ein Teenager sein will. Nein, für mich war das wirklich nichts, aber für die Zielgruppe ist es eine gelungene und unterhaltsame Lektüre. Darauf nun ein Getränk, das die Figuren in diesem Buch noch nicht trinken dürften. Alt sein hat sein Gutes.

Love it. Absolutely love it. The concept how this book was written is pretty amazing. I'm actually quite proud that I could immediately recognize which chapters were written by which author. I completely love David Levithans unique way of writing. Not to say John Green's writing is bad, not at all! I just seem to relate to David Levithans stuff a bit more :) Two stories, of two Will Graysons, intertwine at the most random place, you'd never expect it (well I didn't). They sort of each stay in their own story while still being connected. The characters are entirely different, as are the stories. I first thought reading a book written by two authors wouldn't fit so nicely but boy was I wrong: it fits perfectly. They created a beautiful story together, well two beautiful stories. It's funny and depressing and uplifting and sad and emotional and honest. It manages to be very deep, yet stay light. The teenagery-ness of it makes me glad I grew out of this weird phase but on the other hand it was so nice to delve back into it. I'm amazed by how well it's written, as I think it'd be quite hard to write about the emotional situations and emotional reactions specific to teenagers when you're not a teenager yourself anymore. I absolutely recommend it. It's amazing. I love it.

Die Fettphobie ist wirklich unangenehm und zieht sich durch das ganze Buch und ich bin aus Geschichten mit richtig edgy Teenagern herausgewachsen, aber dieses Buch ist immer noch eine wirklich schöne Geschichte über Freundschaft und Liebe und wie man sich selbst, seine Stimme und seine Leute findet.

This is really tough to rate... I've read all of John's books, and I loved every single one. One more, another less. But overall, I love me some John Green. I also read David Levithan's "Every day", which I enjoyed quite a lot. This however... not my cup of tea. It was good enough to provide entertainment and some laughs along the way. I love the idea of it, I love how they took a still somewhat bold subject and worked with it. I'd just wished that Will and will would have influenced each other more. But they barely even play a role in each other's lives, safe for the chance meeting that loosely ties them together. It could've very well been titled "Tiny and Will and will and some more Tiny, and oh... Tiny". Tiny seemed to be the focal point there. At times it got confusing and it was just... too much I guess. Too much going on, too much packed into it. Levithan's writing style bothered me here and there as well. Namely the whole "Me" "Mom" etc. before the characters launched into direct speech. That's just my pet peeve though, so I didn't really take it into consideration when rating the book.
