Beschreibung

Top neurosurgeon Samantha Thomson needs to get married fast and is tightlipped as to why. And with over $200,000 on offer to tie the knot, no questions asked, cash-strapped ER nurse Hayden Pérez isn’t about to demand answers. The deal is only for a year of marriage, but Hayden’s going into it knowing it will be a nightmare. Sam is complicated, rude, kind of cold, and someone Hayden barely tolerates at work, let alone wants to marry. The hardest part is that Hayden has to convince everyone around them that they’re madly in love and that racing down the aisle together is all they’ve ever wanted. What could possibly go wrong?

i've found the perfect f/f romance, y'all but honestly... read it... please. it needs more attention! i also cried while reading homophobic moments that are present in this book, so, i guess, trigger warning for homophobia? hayden and sam are so precious and perfect, i'm dying. the chemistry between these two was undeniable. there were so many moments in this book when i wanted to scream "just get together!" at their faces. the side character were one of the best parts of the story. jon is my baby and i love him with my whole heart. he just doesn't deserve to be sad, like, ever. period. and luce was so cute! i adored the friendship between them and hayden.

3.75 ⭐ I had really high hopes because everyone seems to love this book, so I'm a bit disappointing. I really liked the beginning but I started enjoying it less and less and by the end I didn't really care anymore. It kinda dragged on even though the book isn't necessarily long. I just didn't enjoy most of the scenes. I really liked the main characters, especially Sam. The writing is great but I would have liked to also read from Sam's Pov. I really did not care about the side characters, which is the case most of the time. So I honestly just skimmed the parts with Luce. Frank was a great addition though! I mean who doesn't love cats in books? I did feel like Haydens feelings for Sam did start too early. And I didn't really buy that Sam also started having feelings? I know compared to other books it wasn't fast but I'm a fan of SLOW burn so it could have been even slower for me.
