First half of the book felt like a prologue and the rest was so fast paced. The book was well written but NOT plot wise.. how are you a renowned detective but follow a case to Shanghai with little to no clues at all.. and everyone around acting like there weren’t other pressing issues for example a war brimming at the edges.. i really expected a lot from this author but this was such a bad read for me idk I wasn’t satisfied at all
