4,5☆ ! Omg I loved it. Tricia is one of my favourite authors ! The book was great, I loved the way each character evolved. I was satisfied with the outcome (although I really would've liked to see what the future of Soren and Rasmira looks like). And I loved the gay romance between Aros and Iriq (I hope I got the names right) The things that annoyed me were that Soren INSTANTLY had a crush on her. I prefer enemies to lovers (this is friends to lovers ), but I wished that Soren could've developed the feelings throughout the story more slowly. The other thing that bugged me is that they took soooo long to discover that the God wasn't a God after all. I already figured it out when they first discovered the magnet rock thingies . I think they were called loadstones. I would've liked it more when the character of Rasmiras father would have been more "worked out". His presence was too shallow for my liking. Over all, Tricia didn't disappoint me and I am happy that I finally read this book!

It really pains me to give a Tricia Levenseller book only 3 stars but I just could not connect to the main character at all up until the last 100 pages or so. But I kept reading the book because I love Levenseller's unique fantasy settings and I liked the story itself! Nontheless, I am excited to read her future books!
