I can't tell you what Fredrik Backman put into this series but whatever it may be: It's awesome. I loved getting back to Beartown and reading about my beloved characters again. And the writing style is still incredibly poetic and I love how Backman highlights certain issues from so many different perspectives. I'm looking forward to reading 'The Winners' (hopefully sooner than later)

Der Beartown-Reihe gehört für immer mein Herz – und das hätte ich vorab niemals über eine Buchreihe gedacht, in der sich alles um Eishockey dreht. Backman versteht es unglaublich gut, eine Nähe zu den einzelnen Charakteren aufzubauen. Tiefe und Emotionalität zu schaffen. Zu spoilern, ohne zu viel zu verraten. Ich habe am Ende heulend in der Badewanne gelegen. Auch wenn alle 3 Bücher wahnsinnig gut sind, ist Band 2 mein Favorit!

4.5* Us Against You von Fredrik Backman ist eine absolut gelungene Fortsetzung. Ich liebe die Figuren und wie ihre Geschichte und ihre Entwicklung hier weiter erzählt wurde. Auch dieser Teil behandelt ernste Themen und mir kamen beim Lesen mehr als einmal die Tränen. Doch ich liebe wie vielschichtig die Figuren sind, wie man verstehen kann wie schwierig gewisse Entscheidungen für sie sind und auch wenn man nicht immer dasselbe tun würde, kann man sie verstehen. Backman schreibt einfach toll und ich liebe seine Charakteren. Viele sind wir in diesem Teil noch mehr ans Herz gewachsen und ich habe durchgehend mit ihnen mitgefiebert und mitgelitten. Ich finde es auch super gelungen wie das Thema Hockey und was dies für die Stadt und die Figuren bedeutet weiter behandelt wurde. Insgesamt einfach tolle Fortsetzung und ich freue mich schon sehr auf den dritten Teil.
