Jessie and Hillary were inseparable at Camp Chickawah, promising to become counselors together. But when Hillary broke her promise, they drifted apart, with only Jessie staying on and eventually becoming the camp director. When Jessie learns the camp is being sold, she plans a nostalgic “adult summer camp” and invites past campers, including Hillary. As they relive old memories—now with adult drinks, skinny dipping, and summer flings—the two rebuild their friendship. With romance in the air and new challenges ahead, they’ll work together to save the camp and hold on to the happiness of one last summer.
Omg! It was just what I was looking for: a lighthearted, funny, easy to read romance book. 📚 I love the setting of a sleep away camp and it bright so many awesome memories back 🥰 The author duo Allison and Bradeigh did an amazing job under the name Ali Brady. I really loved that, fittingly for two authors, the book was written from two perspectives: Jessie’s and Hillary’s. They portrayed the story of these two former best friends so well, and the emotions were totally relatable. As is often the case with lighthearted romance books, the ending was pretty predictable—though let’s be real, I don’t expect the deepest plot twists in this kind of book either 😉. That said, there was a brief moment near the end of Until Next Summer where I thought things might turn out differently 😅. I really enjoyed the book, and I have a lot of respect for the fact that it wasn’t written by just one person, but by two! ☺️ If you’re looking for an easy, in-between read that gives you summer vibes, brings back memories, and is just overall wholesome, Until Next Summer is the perfect choice!
