Beschreibung

In the sizzling hockey romance that has taken TikTok by storm, the star goalie discovers the family he’s always wanted when he falls in love with a single mother.

“Mack proves it is in fact always the quiet ones. Another deliciously sexy and honest story of friendship, family, and falling in love.” —Hannah Grace, New York Times bestselling author of Wildfire and Icebreaker

The third book in the globally popular Playing for Keeps series.

Can he leave the past behind to forge the future he’s always wanted?

When it comes to dating, Adam Lockwood wouldn’t know luck if it hit him in the face. After a failed relationship and a string of dates gone wrong, the thought of being vulnerable with someone is terrifying—most women only see his fame. But when his dog runs into Rosie Wells, a beautiful woman with a blush as pink as her hair, she doesn’t seem to have a clue who he is, and Adam seizes the opportunity as a chance to finally be himself.

Rosie has her hands full as a single mother and fourth-year veterinary student, and she certainly wouldn’t know a hockey player if she ran into one. She doesn’t have time to date, and she’s fiercely protective of her little family. But when a chance encounter leads her to Adam, she knows it’s worth risking her heart.

The only problem? Adam is used to wearing a mask—he’s a goalie, after all. And as he holds onto a secret that threatens to unravel him and destroy his new family, they’re both at risk of losing more than ever before.

Oh my gosh… this series is honestly something else !!! I was reading this book for almost a week now so this review probably won’t be as long as the other ones cause I always forget things HAHAH. First of all we have Adam, our hockey goalie and one of the vipers. Then we have Rosie, a new character we have never met before, a veterinarian with a golden heart. Honestly her and Adam both have golden hearts, that’s why they matched each other so well! Adam was always mentioned as the soft hearted sweetheart in the last books and this book showed that he indeed is, but also has a different side to him. Rosie and Adam have such a meet-cute and I almost died of cuteness🥹. Adam and Bear (his dog) and Rosie and Piglet (one of the dogs from the shelter) went hiking on the same way. Bear literally ran Rosie over and instantly took a liking to her. And sparks flew instantly between our hockey star and veterinarian!! I just love their friendship between all of them(Carter,Emmett,Cara,Olivia,Garrett,Jennie,Jaxon,Adam and now Rosie), they are such a family indeed. It turns out that Rosie has a son,Connor, and Adam is honestly such a daddy and instantly treats him like his own son!! Like this man is greenest flag there could be. Two characters I would have LOVED to slap across the face was Courtney (Adams annoying lying ex) and Brandon ( Rosie’s annoying ass bitch ex who’s unfortunately the 'father' of Connor). The book progresses well and has everything you need; fluff, smut angst.. you name it. I also really like the writing style and Becka Mack’s book are literally so weird but in the best way 😭🤣. Rosie and Adam were both in a foster home growing up so it was just the cutest thing ever when they adopted Lily, a cute 5-year old girl who has taking such a liking of their little family. All of them really fit perfectly together like a puzzle. At the end of the book; they are a really big perfect family HAHAH. Adam,Rosie,Connor,Lily,Piglet, Bear, The cat they adopted because Connor fell in love with him and the new baby on the way!! 🫢 I personally would go insane HAHAHA but it’s still very very cute🤣. On the last review I guessed that Adam would’ve been paired with Emily cause they both do charity work for the foster homes etc but that wasn’t the case. I think the last book is definitely goin to be about Jaxon cause he’s the only one single left LMFAO, we'll see !! Anyway, would definitely recommend that was very very good.
