So ein wundervolles Buch. Wer Addie LaRue mochte, wird auch dieses Buch lieben. Es beinhaltet mehr Gefühl und tiefe, es lässt die Tränen fließen. Der Schreibstil ist wundervoll und ich freue mich auf Teil 2 und andere Bücher dieser Autorin.

It’s something different from my usual choice of books and I think I would have never picked it up if I hadn’t come across a review on Reado - because let's be honest, at first I thought it was a dark romance book because of the cover 🫠 I loved following Anna through time and meeting lots of historical figures. And most of all I totally fell for Khiran. The slow burn was sloooowly burning, but I think it made the story even better this way. Excited for the second book. Genoa 1439 had me sobbing.
Finishing 2024 with an unexpected banger 🥹
This book is like a must-read, and I don’t understand how I could just stumble upon it by coincidence?! We have fantasy, we have history, we have magic, we have romance, we have agony, conflicts, pain, heartbreaksss, cry sessions (but also out of joy!) From the beginning, I was hooked, and I finished it in one sitting, in one day. I just couldn’t stop. It’s even a slow-burn romance—and usually, I haaaate slow-burn. But in this setting.. perfection ✨ Oh guys..the last book of 2024—the one I chose out of boredom—climbed straight to one of my top reads of the year and I am sooo happy that I’m starting 2025 with the second book (it’s a duology). ❤️🔥

Es ist eine Meditation über die Zeit, die Liebe und die unzerbrechliche Natur des menschlichen Geistes, selbst in der Unendlichkeit. Eine Geschichte, die von tiefer Emotionalität, einer spürbaren Sehnsucht nach dem Unerreichbaren und einer tiefgründigen Auseinandersetzung von Verlust, Hoffnung und Selbslosigkeit erzählt. Die Autorin webt gekonnt Romantik und Melancholie zusammen und enthüllt nach und nach die wahren Dimensionen ihrer Charaktere. Jedes Kapitel entführt dich in eine neue Epoche, von mittelalterlichen Dörfern bis hin zum 20. Jahrhundert. Durch Annas Augen erleben man die Grausamkeiten und die Schönheit der Menschheit, die Vergänglichkeit des Lebens und die Sehnsucht nach dauerhafter Verbindung. Die Frage, was es bedeutet, unsterblich zu sein und alle zu überdauern, die man liebt, zieht sich als roter Faden durch das Buch und regt zum Nachdenken an. Eine emotionale, atmosphärische und tiefgründige Geschichte die noch lange nach dem Zuklappen in mir Nachhallt. Ich möchte möglichst bald den zweiten Band lesen!

Ein Buch das ihren Hype noch erleben wird. Es hat so unschuldig angefangen und hat einen trotzdem ab der ersten Seite gepackt. Die Geschichte der Beiden ist so liebevoll. Tränen kullern ebenfalls schon vor den ersten 100 Seiten. Mein absolutes Lesehighlight des Jahres.
