Ich liebe es. Erinnert an Acotar mit einer Priese ToG. Wer diese Bücher mochte, wird auch diese Reihe mögen.
Die erste Hälfte hat sich tbh etwas gezogen, aber die Story entwickelt sich sooo gut und macht neugierig auf mehr 😍 es gibt teils immer noch starke tog vibes, aber trotzdem ist es iwie eine ganz eigene tolle Geschichte…bin so gespannt, wie’s weitergeht 🥹
Wenn euch die Parallelen zu tog nicht stören (va in Band 1) oder ihr vllt genau nach so etwas sucht, dann lest diese Bücher unbedingt!!
the potential is immaculate. But having to actually read this book felt like some kind of torture at some points. Don’t get me wrong, I love the plot, the story and world. The characters are all just *chefs kiss*. But this book dragged. The pace was horrible. You get many many chapters, where it feels like you’re just reading words, zero development. 70% of the book is just Scarlett being a depresso espresso. I’m not saying that mood wasn’t justified. But it got boring really quick. I just wanted to throttle Scarlett and Sorin to finally get over their shit and TALK. Miscommunication is my enemy and those two took ages to come clear to each other and admit some stuff. Felt torturous to read. And the other problem I have with this book is the parallelism to Acotar and Tog. Some characters and scenes/moments feel like EXACT copy past. At some point the author explained a thing called 'traveling' to us and it was almost word for word how winnowing was explained in acomaf. I just don’t see it all being coincidental. One characters is Azriel, but let’s call him Rayner instead. But despite those two things making this read a bit hard to get through… the series has immense potential to be amazing and I love the characters. When we actually got some plot it was interesting and I’m curious to see where things will go with this series! I’m hoping it will get better with the next book!! 3
3,5✨ Es dreht sich irgendwie alles doch zu sehr in Kreis und erinnert dabei viel zu sehr an ToG. In Band 1 war es noch okay, weil ich solche Arten von Geschichte mag aber in Band 2 wird es sooooo auffällig. Ich kann nicht mehr. Breche die Reihe an dieser Stelle ab
