⤷‧₊˚3 ⭑ “we thought we were separate satellites, but we aren’t. we’re stars, and though we might burn separately, we’ll always be in one another’s orbit.” I've wanted to read it for a long time and finally did it. i was hoping I'd enjoy it even though i'm not a historical romance girl and yeah surprise i didn't enjoy it as much as i hoped. it’s actually not a bad book. i liked the writing style it was beautifully written and soothing. also, i really liked the love between lucy and catherine but sometimes it was a bit boring.
A hopeful reminder to go after your goals and to not let anyone stand in your way to success & happiness. ✨
As a woman in science this book feels as if it had been written for me. I loved every bit of the rebellious, strong (yet vulnerable) female characters and how they support each other to achieve their dreams. All of that in a time where neither lucys profession nor their relationship were accepted by society.
