Beschreibung

Censured at the Council of Nikea for his flagrant use of sorcery, Magnus the Red and his Thousand Sons Legion retreat to their homeworld of Prospero to continue their use of the arcane arts in secret. But when the ill-fated primarch forsees the treachery of Warmaster Horus and warns the Emperor with the very powers he was forbidden to use, the Master of Mankind dispatches fellow primarch Leman Russ to attack Prospero itself. But Magnus has seen more than the betrayal of Horus and the witnessed revelations will change the fate of his fallen Legion, and its primarch, forever.

What a fantastic book!!! Its got everything you want from a science fiction work...wizards, lesbians, mysterious powers, an opposition brewing up and even more wizards!! Such a satisfying book to read I loved every page, every reference and every dialogue between the characters. We switch between Ahzek Ahriman / Magnus and the mysterious remembrancers from time to time which never felt off pace Although this book is very long I loved it very much

Like the author mentioned in the funny acknowledgements - this is a rather lenghty book which starts up pretty slow. I must also admit it really took me quite a while to get into it and even more to kind of like some of the protagonists or even the whole legion. It took me until the final showdown, to really get a grab on the characters, when.. Well, you better read for yourself.
