To be be completely honest, I expected something very different. I expected a story about two species meeting, two systems of values and views in exchange. I expected something like a meditation on humanity. And I expected space and strange new worlds. What I got were inner monologues about religion. Although I'm not sure you could call it that. It was more like the main character thinking about what you should and shouldn't do as a Christian and what will make others believe that you actually are a very good Christian indeed. And above all, what would be the best strategy to make everyone around you a Christian, too, I hated those ramblings (in forms of inner monologue and letters to the wife at home) so much that I did not even make it halfway through the book. Perhaps all of this would have been redeemed later on but I simply couldn't get that far.
78 pages or maybe even more... I was just not feeling it, was only with it because of the lovely cover... but life's too short. DNF.
