I read this book many times over the years cause it is such a nice and easy read and the story is well written.
This is a very slow-moving character driven book. It was quite enjoyable and painted a realistic picture of the 17th century. While being a fictional account of Vermeer's relationship with the subject of his most famous work, it was well written and piqued my interest in looking up more of his paintings.
