Mittig ist eine aus rot, orange und gelb bestehende Blume abgebildet, mit dem Titel des Buches (in derselben Schrift wie der bei der Autorin genutzten) darüber. [📖] 𝙼𝚎𝚒𝚗𝚞𝚗𝚐: ❎ - manchmal kamen mir Dinge unrealistisch vor (beißen in Handrücken = Blut?) (um gerecht zu sein, die Bücher sind alle etwas weird 😅) - hier wieder dasselbe wie mit dem 2. und 3. Band: eine Trigger Warnung bzgl der angesprochenen und beschriebenen Themen wäre nicht fehl am Platz gewesen ⚠️ - es wird eine Fortsetzung geben, aber es ist noch nicht bekannt, wann 🕒❓ ✅ - das Cover war zwar sehr schlicht, aber passend 📔 - es war interessant, die ehemaligen (Haupt)charaktere aus anderen Sichten zu sehen 👀 - es gab diesmal zwei PoV's, was für angenehme/interessante Sichtwechsel gesorgt hat 👥 - hinten im Buch war die Aufstellung des neuen Teams aufgelistet 📋 - das EBook war recht günstig 💵 - das Buch war wieder mitreißend und hatte einen schnellen Schreibstil 📖 [📖] 𝙻𝚎𝚜𝚎𝚎𝚖𝚙𝚏𝚎𝚑𝚕𝚞𝚗𝚐: Ja ✅, dieses Buch ist eine gute Fortsetzung mit diesmal schnellerer Romance zu der Trilogie um Neil Josten und die Palmetto State Foxes herum, und ich habe es sehr gerne gelesen 📖. Hoffentlich gibt es die Fortsetzung dazu möglichst bald 🔜📚..

I cried to many times. Those books will habe my heart forever. The only regret I have is that I didn't read them earlier.

Emotional Damage

This is technically vol. 4 of the "All for the Game" series. After the trilogy, it now continues with Jean's story, and I think it's going to be another trilogy. I personally wouldn't have needed a sequel, but I am really glad it exists now and excited for the story to continue. So, idk where to even start. This book had barely any story in that sense. The first, like 100 pages, was just the end of volume 3 in Jean's POV. Still important to see his reactions and get his feelings and thoughts about everything. That is also what most of this book is, feelings, thoughts, and the resulting conversations. After what we already knew happened, this is now about Jean getting to know his new team, the Trojans, especially Jeremy, who also has many POV chapters. Around the end is more drama, but other than that, there is not much plot. So you might be wondering what is even happening throughout the whole book? The answer is trauma, trauma, and trauma. Jean's mind is in a dark place and justifiably so. We get much more insight of the abuse he had to face from the Ravens. I didn't think I would be able to hate Riko even more, but here we are. As sad as it was, it was interesting to read since it was well written. You could think he must be happy to be out of that situation, but that's not how it works. At first, he even wanted to go back. When all you know is to endure and the only place where you know how to gets taken away from you, it's inevitable to feel lost. He doesn't believe he deserves anything else, and I felt so sorry for him, but he is slowly getting better thanks to the people around him. It's also interesting how the abuse is described. It's never super detailed and sometimes rather vage when it just gets dropped out of nowhere, I had to reread many lines to be sure I understood that right, but that makes it even more shocking. Also, since you think you knew everything about it from the other books, but we never got to hear details from Jean, and his position was a different one. These books are really only for people who can deal with those topics (read the trigger warnings) and don't mind character driven stories. For me, both are not a problem, and I enjoy them a lot. I am also excited for the hinted at slowburn romance 👀💕 I just hope it's not getting too dramatic overall because we already had a happy end, and I don't like it when it gets destroyed after the original ending. Of course, Jean's story is still ongoing, but I liked the end for Neil and don't want him to get too mixed up in this. He and Kevin appeared a few times here since they are all involved in the same problem, but I can't imagine it getting as big as in volume 3 again. Well, we'll see 😅

Eine emotional heftige Weiterführung der Reihe. Es passiert zwar aktiv nicht super viel, aber dennoch … ich hätte gerne noch mehr von den Trojanern mitgekriegt, aber Jean und Jeremy sind wunderbar geschrieben worden.

„I am Jean Moreau,“ he told her. „I have always gotten exactly what I deserve.“ Ich bin fertig und ich bin nicht okay, ugh. Ich weiß gar nicht, mit was für einer Erwartung (außer Vorfreude) ich in die nächste Installation von „All For The Game“ gegangen bin ... aber mich hat einfach ne riesige Emotionswelle von den Füßen gerissen. Meiner Meinung nach bemerkt man die Jahre, die zwischen den ersten drei Büchern und „The Sunshine Court“ liegen – vielleicht liegt es aber auch an den Charakteren. Wo wir die Bücher rund um Neil Josten oft als abgeklärt und kühl erlebt haben, (Verdrängung von Traumata on point) so ist Jean Moreau „offener“. Wir erleben mehr Reaktionen auf Traumata, Flashbacks und Coping Strategien. Ich liebs! Ich kann gar nicht viel sagen, sonst heule ich wieder. Es ist einfach toll wie viel Zeit Nora und mit Jean gibt und zeigt, wie es um ihn steht. Seine Probleme und Traumata werden nicht einfach weggewischt, sie werden adressiert. Und ich bin froh, das Jean bei so wundervollen Menschen gelandet ist, die ihm gut tun. Gegen Ende hat mich einiges zu sehr an vorherige Bände erinnert, aber auch das ist irgendwie erst einmal okay. Die letzten zwei (?) Kapitel fand ich wieder ein wenig zu „yolo, wir machen das jetzt einfach mal und gut ist“, aber irgendwie passt es auch zu aftg und deshalb kann ich es verzeihen, auch wenn ich es nicht ultra geil fand. Der Kernpunkt ist aber Jean und seine Beziehung zu seinem neuen Team und seinen ... Freunden. Ich brauche mehr und ich bin nicht okay. Hilfe.

I loved it, I cried. I have so much hope for the next book, I fear everything about it. (Spoiler) There were a few things that annoyed me throughout the book, Jeremy pressing Jean to talk about his traume being the biggest issue. But it only shows how not only Jean has to grow, every character has their own story, own development. I'm looking forward to reading how they can learn more from each other in the second book.

Claramente estoy maravillada con el libro, es increíblemente triste, hermoso, te hace querer tomar a Jean de la mano y no soltarlo nunca, abrazarlo para siempre y meterlo en una cajita de cristal para que nadie pueda hacerlo daño. Es tan adictivo que lo leí en menos de 24 horas y además de ser un libro corto. Desde el que conocí a Jean quise saber más de el y de todo lo que había pasado pero realmente es muchísimo más fuerte de lo que uno se imagina, y que aún nos falta mucho por descubrir. En fin, Nora es una bendición, y leeria de ella hasta la lista del super si pudiera. Como tu capitán y tu compañero, ¿no merezco al menos la oportunidad de no ser un villano en tu historia?". Jean le dirigió una mirada compasiva. "Eres el capitán de la corte del sol. En ningún universo podrías ser el villano de nadie" Podemos hablar de como Jeremy parece estar fascinado con los ojos de Jean, y como parece estar al menos medio enamorado del francés. Espero que estos acaben tan bellos y juntitos como siempre, porque los amo. Renee te amo, pero no eres para mi Jean.
