Spannend, aufregend... absolute Leseempfehlung!

Habe mich mit dem Worldbuilding am Anfang ein bisschen schwer getan, allerdings lohnt es sich. Man wird in eine faszinierende Welt gezogen und will gar nicht aufhören zu lesen.

Einfach nur wow!🫶🏼

Ich liebe das Buch so sehr😍 Es ist einfach eine so schöne Story und man kommt super rein. Der Schreibstil ist sehr flüssig💕 Die Lovestory zwischen Xaden und Violet ist sehr schön Aufgebaut 🫠❤️ Man kann sich super in die Charaktere hineinversetzen und das Worldbuilding ist einfach nur toll🎀 {SPOILER} Liams Tod hat mich auseinander genommen😭😭

Omg warum habe ich es nicht früher gelesen? ich versteh jetzt den hype, sehr sehr tolles buch!

Ich muss sagen, Drachen reizen mich nicht. Mit dieser Info vorweg könnt ihr euch vorstellen, dass bei mir nicht viel Vorfreude auf dieses Buch geherrscht hat. Dass ein Buch über genau diese Kreaturen es dann doch geschafft hat, mich in seinen Bann zu ziehen, hat mich ehrlich gesagt gewundert. Der Schreibstil war toll, das Worldbuilding fantastisch. Violet fand ich als Protagonistin toll, Xanden wunderbar geheimnisvoll. Allerdings kamen recht viele Charaktere vor und irgendwann fiel es mir schwer, alle auseinander zu halten. Auch, wenn die Story wirklich spannend war, fiel es mir manchmal schwer nach dem Buch zu greifen, da es einen etwas düsteren Vibe hat. Vielleicht lag das aber auch nur an meiner Vorstellung von dunklen Steinmauern, etc. Sobald ich mich aber doch zum Lesen überwunden habe, konnte ich es kaum aus der Hand legen. Der Spice war okay, nicht so viel wie durch die Zitate am Buch erwartet. Also der Vergleich mit 50 Shades hinkt ein wenig, aber das wäre für die Story wohl auch unpassend gewesen. 😅 Das Ende fand ich toll und echt überraschend, werde hier aber nichts spoilern. Auf die Bonuskapitel hätte ich aber verzichten können, da ich nicht so der Fan davon bin, das Gleiche nochmal aus einer anderen Sicht zu lesen, nur um ein paar kleine Details mehr aus der Story zu holen.

Ausbildung zur Drachenreiterin

Violet Sorrengail hat einen zerbrechlichen Körper, aber einen glasklaren Verstand. Jahrelang hat sie sich darauf vorbereitet, in die Fußstapfen ihres Vaters zu treten und eine Gelehrte zu werden, doch dann kommt alles anders: ihre Mutter, eine Generalin, entscheidet, dass Violet ins War College Basgiath eintreten soll, um Drachenreiterin zu werden wie sie selbst. Die Ausbildung in Basgiath ist mörderisch, bereits den Weg dorthin überleben viele der angehenden Studenten nicht und kaum angekommen wird weiter dezimiert. Es gibt eh nicht genug Drachen für alle. Vi muss sich auf ihren scharfen Verstand, einige Geschenke ihrer großen Schwester und auf ihre neuen Frende verlassen, um das erste Jahr durchzustehen. Und dann ist da noch Xaden Riorson, Schüler im letzten Jahr, mächtigster Drachenreiter seiner Generation und Sohn eines Rebellen, der von Violets Mutter exekutiert wurde. Vermutlich will er Vi umbringen, aber er ist so unglaublich heiß... Ich musste das Buch im Anschluss an Onyx Storm einfach noch einmal lesen und hab es wieder sehr gefeiert. Es macht solchen Spaß, mitzurleben, wie Violet sich entwickelt. Die Handlung ist spannend und voller Wendungen und die Drachen sowie die Reiter sind mir ans Herz gewachsen.

Ich würde 12 Sterne geben, wenn es möglich wäre 🫠😍

Aufgrund des Hypes hatte ich mir zwar etwas anderes vorgestellt, aber ich wurde dennoch nicht enttäuscht. Ich bin schon sehr gespannt auf den zweiten Teil.

Da Fantasy eig. nicht mein Genre ist, war ich erst etwas skeptisch. Eine Freundin hat es mir dann zum Geburtstag geschenkt und praktisch darauf bestanden, dass ich es lese. GOTT SEI DANK! Einmal angefangen, wollte ich das Buch nicht mehr aus der Hand legen! So viele Emotionen und Spannung in jedem einzelnen Kapitel! Man denkt, man hat es jetzt durchschaut und zack, passieren Dinge, die man sich niemals hätte ausmalen können.. Ich kann es gar nicht abwarten, morgen den zweiten Teil zu kaufen 🙏🏼 Danke an mein Reading-Buddy Michi! 🫶🏼

Nach dem ich so viel über dieses Buch gelesen und gesehen habe und etwas aus meiner Romance-Welt ausbrechen wollte, habe ich es mir nun endlich auch gekauft. Und was soll ich sagen - ich kann nicht mehr ohne! Ich konnte 3 Tage lang das Buch nicht aus der Hand legen, an kaum etwas anderes denken und jetzt noch schwirrt die Welt um Violet und Xaden durch meine Gedanken❤️‍🔥

As amazing as this book is, it's also a little predictable which is why it only gets a four star rating. However, it IS extremely catching not only due to the sexual tension between the main characters but also because of the dragons and the powers they give to their riders. Looking forward to the second book.

Not Perfect, But Perfectly Addictive: A Fun and Thrilling Fantasy Adventure

Going into “Fourth Wing”, I was cautious. Hyped books can sometimes disappoint. But Rebecca Yarros absolutely delivered and this book deserves every bit of its 5 stars. The plot was gripping, the worldbuilding immersive, and the characters unforgettable. Violet’s journey as she navigates the dangerous world of dragon riders had me hooked from start to finish. And the tension between Violet and Xaden? Absolutely electric. The push and pull of their dynamic was so intense that it kept me flipping pages late into the night. This story gave me all the feels from A to Z. I laughed, cried and cheered as I followed Violet’s struggles and triumphs. The emotional highs and lows were masterfully done, keeping me invested in every twist and turn. Few books manage to hit every note—romance, heartbreak, joy, and suspense—but “Fourth Wing” nailed it. Is it a literary masterpiece? No. But that’s not what it’s trying to be. “Fourth Wing” is pure enjoyment—an emotional and thrilling ride that’s as much brain candy as it is escapism. It’s the kind of book you read to get lost in, to feel everything, and to have fun while doing it. There was a slight slowdown in the middle, but it didn’t bother me much, as it gave room to deepen the characters and world. And that ending! The twists leading up to the final pages completely caught me off guard, and the cliffhanger left me desperate for the next installment. If you love fantasy with high stakes, incredible characters and a dash of romance, “Fourth Wing” is a must-read.

Mind is blown! It’s worth the hype! I laughed, cried, swooned, feared and my heart stuttered so many times reading this book! I haven’t been so invested in a long time - just read it!

(3,5/5☆) Romance-Anteil etwas langatmig, Worldbuilding etwas knapp geraten. Hoffe, dass der zweite Band das etwas ausgleicht. Aber dafür schon jetzt coole Drachen, fesche Modeentscheidungen und actionreiche Kämpfe.

Ein echtes Highlight! 🤩 ich mochte diese Welt wirklich sehr und ich bin nun auch von diesem Hype mitgerissen worden. Ein echte schöner Cliffhanger zum Schluss! Ich habe es als Hörbuch gehört und die Sprecherin bzw. der Sprecher waren wirklich toll. Einfach schön dieser Auftakt einer Reihe.😌

This Book is written so well I really can’t explain why exactly it is so wonderful and fantastic to read. I am the same opinion as BookTok this book is worth 5⭐️. The Story of Xaden and Violet is little bit spicy 🔥, lovely 🩷 and sweet 🥰 at the same time.❤️ And the best part of the Book are of course the dragons I mean it are dragons hello ?!?! I really recommend that book to all my Fantasy readers who are searching for an amazing story full of dragons and love. But be careful this book is addictive. ❤️ I have warned you

Man muss es gelesen haben. Ich kann immer noch nicht fassen was Ales in nur einem Buch passieren kann. Ich find die Story Line mega und wenn ich könnte ich würde es so gerne direkt nochmal zum erstem Mal lesen. Es hat mich so gefesselt. Ich hab gelacht, geflucht ich war geschockt. Aber am meisten war ich fasziniert mich hat noch nie ein Buch so gefesselt und verlangt e durch zu lesen. Ich werde mir auch die Fortsetzung holen weil es so gut war.

Pures Gold! One of my favorite storys ever!

Das Buch hat mich so umgehauen. Ich konnte es kaum aus der Hand legen, und wenn ich musste, hab ich unentwegt daran gedacht, ja sogar davon geträumt! So unglaublich fesselnd geschrieben und die Kapitel sind richtig gut geplant, sodass "only one more chapter" wirklich immer eine Lüge war. Violet war mir von Anfang a super sympathisch und ich konnte sie so gut verstehen, während sie für ihren eigenen Weg gekämpft hat. Doch auch ihre Freunde und die Mitglieder ihres Squads konnte ich schnell in mein Herz schließen. Die Geschichte war so spannend und ich LIEBE Drachen, sodass es einfach die perfekt abgestimmte Mischung aus Charakteren, Story und Setting war, das mich so sehr mitgenommen hat. Pures Gold dieses Geschichte! 🐉🖤🧡

This book is absolutely amazing!!! I loved the main character right from the beginning and throughout the book I love more and more of the characters. It was sooo well written and I’m going to start reading the second book instantly! _________________Spoiler _________________ I really loved how the relationship between Violet and Xaden evolved and how there are still problems that need solving between them. Also, I didn’t really liked Dain from the beginning but that he would be such an a**??? The absolutely saddest moment was when Liam died. He was one of my favorite characters and I just bursted out crying when it happened. And the cliffhanger and the and where Brennon is alive again I really didn’t see coming.

One of the best, if not THE best book I have ever read.

Dieses Buch hat mich von der ersten Seite an gecatcht. Das ist ein mega krasser Fantasymix aus Tribute von Panem- Harry Potter und Game of Thrones Vibes, AND I LOVE IT!

Ich hatte Gänsehaut am Ende. Ich Liebe die Drachen und den konstanten Worry, dass Violet stirbt :D (hört sich makaber an). Die erste Szene auf der Matte mit Xaden, uff 🫦 Habe es auf englisch gelesen.

Bin lange um das Buch herumgeschlichen, wollte dann aber letztlich doch endlich mal den Hype nachvollziehen können und hab's mir gekauft. Insgesamt eine super spannende Geschichte mit tollem Schreibstil und starken Charakteren. Sowohl Violet als auch Xaden. Bin gespannt wie die Reihe weiter geht.

Dieses Buch ist definitiv eines meiner Top 10 im Jahr .... Es ist so unglaublich gut geschrieben und man wird direkt in die Geschichte rein gezogen .....automatisch ..... Die Liebesgeschichte zwischen Violet und Xaden ...einfach Zucker und verdammt hot! Aber das ENDE killt einen komplett ...Es ist sooooo unerwartet und krass ,dass ich es nicht abwarten kann und so gespannt bin ,was im 2.Teil passiert....

Das Setting ist einfach super gut! Die Schule und die Charaktere sind spannend gemacht. Auch wenn das Buch sich zum Großteil "nur" um das erste Jahr an der Schule dreht, ist es nicht mehr weg zulegen! Verdient den hype meiner Meinung nach echt!

Einfach der Wahnsinn!

Ich liebe die Violet, Xaden, Liam und ganz viele andere Charaktere 😍 Das Buch hat mein Herz rausgerissen und genau so muss ein gutes Romantasy Buch für mich sein! Dain ist mir unglaublich auf den Sack gegangen aber was wäre ein enemies to lovers arch ohne eine dritte Nervensäge?

I was absolutely in love! It took a while to get into the story, but once I got in I couldn't put it down! I read 6 hours straight to get through ¾ of that masterpiece. Also real probs to Rebecca for making a fantasy book as realistic as fantasy can get. Making Violet a strong female lead, while still humbling her or any strong character at times felt so good to read! Really appreciate that🙏 The whole story took me on a journey and I do not wanna leave it. Can't wait to read the second book♡♡♡ The only and only tiny things that bugged me were; that it's not duel pov (because I love to read the man's thoughts AND I KNOW THE LAST CHAPTERS I KNOW PEOPLE) and Dain. He's just.... I don't like him

It was addicting to read and I'm a sucker for dragons. I liked the setting and world building, even though it could be better in some aspects. I like the individual characters but the way they interact feels off at times, for a military school in a high fantasy setting (modern lingo and just a general lack of respect for higherups) The ending was a rush and imo the best part of the book, i still can't forgove it tho. Even if some parts anoyed me the book was really enjoyable and what got me back into reading after a long time :)

Okay first of all, what the fuck was that ending?! How the fuck— I love this book with all my heart and soul and you can't even imagine how hard I balled my eyes out. I would recommend it to everyone and I would sell my soul to read it again for the first time. This book is mesmerizing.

The book was written so vividly I dived into this fantasy world right away. While reading this book, my dreams were about that fantasy world and I didn't want to put the book down, even though it's not a very suspenseful book. The only two plot twists I didn't see coming both happened at the very end of this book. The author almost always announced actions by building up to them. Most of the time, this added to the book, by making the plot believable. Sometimes she took it too far though. The MC sometimes was able to "sense" that something unexpected/out of the ordinary was about to happen, which made the plot unnecessarily more boring. I also would have wished, that the "breas crumbs" leading up to a plot twist sometimes would have been more decent and not as much noticed by our MC - that just didn't always seem realistic. The first spicy scene was very cringely written (e.g.: "He claims my mouth." girl, why??). After that, the spice evolved and it didn't bother me as much anymore. It definitely isn't the strong suit of this author to write spice though and I didn't particularly enjoy reading any of the spice in this book. However, the non-spicy part of the romance. was quite well written. The love interest has so much crush potential! I personally would have appreciated it, if the romance was more enemies to lovers and less love (and lust) at first sight. I appreciated that the second possible love interest (the MC's childhood best friend) was ruled out pretty early and there wasn't an awkward, stereotypical love triangle (or love corner lol). The enemies part was not only missing in the love story but also the MC's character development. There was so much potential for her to realise that she's on the wrong side of history. While this change of perspective did happen, it was not described as well as it could have been.

Dieses Buch kann man nur verschlingen! Tolle Welt, düster und wunderschön zugleich. Liebevoll ausgearbeitete Charaktere, starke Drachen und eine tolle Geschichte. Auch wenn das ein oder andere vorhersehbar war ( das Rad kann nicht immer neu erfunden werden) gab es doch Momente die mich echt überrascht haben. Kann es nicht abwarten weiter zu lesen und hoffe das nächste ist auch so gut.
