No Character connection, especially between the guys. Dumb Heroin, issued could have been easily solved One good Smut Chapter. Cliche ending with kids Rich pretty girl
[3.75/5] Halfway through the book I posted a status update, saying “this reads like a bag of chips eats” and this kept being true for the rest of the book. Super easy read with a sassy female MC that keeps her boys in check and three intriguing love interests. I flew through the pages, and it was over much more quickly than I realised and that is basically the only point of critique I’d have: It was a bit too shallow, too surface-level for my taste. I enjoy deeply crafted characters with thorough backstories and many glimpses behind a curtain that’s mostly drawn for everyone else. The most mysterious here was Matt and even that was a bit too … superficial. I know, not everyone needs the big trauma story in every read, but it felt like a very light read this way, that just scratched at the potential it might have had. I enjoyed the read, I chuckled quite a few times and I’m definitely considering picking a Lily Gold book up again in the future – maybe just not right away.
How I was so clueless, that a romcom reverse harem with a celebrity and her bodyguards was what I was missing in life, is beyond me. the vibe of this book is 'She Keeps Me Up' by Nickelback and I won't take any contradiction on this. I will also never be the same again. And it’s all because of Briar. Sorry boys, you were good. Great even. But Briar outshined you all dramatically. This woman and her sassy comebacks made me snort out loud more than once.….whilst I was reading in public places. I had no control over it - she was hilarious. But the boys or rather The Angels (it’s giving Three Angels for Charlie but make it smutty and more fun) where awesome too. The friendship and dynamic between the three…. Crying it was adorable. Lily Gold managed to write three charismatic, equally entertaining and hot male characters and I could NOT decide whom I would pick. Luckily, we don’t have to… cause why choose? And not choose indeed they did. And it was hot. This book has entertainment and amazing humor. But also amazing top notch smut. But also unexpected heartbreak and trauma to resolve. And a stalker lunatic. Which sums up to an impeccable book and dare I say - the best reverse harem I’ve yet read. This book deserves all the stars for many reasons. But I give them all for Briar. Can I join you guys? This book is for all my girlies who don’t want to choose between the brooding hottie and the funny puppy. You can have them all. But don’t be afraid if you think you can’t handle three dicks at ones - I think this book is beginner friendly. If you enjoy some smut and funny romcom vibes then try it out and broaden your horizon. 5
