D came home early from his latest job, but only to tell Jack that he has go be gone by Sunday morning to get back to another job. This short story was kind of depressing, not in a bad way though, it was still sweet and all but also so sad because you can feel how bad they both want to be together; how bad they both want to spend more time with each other but there’s still D’s job and they both know that D needs to do what he does so of course Jack supports him what doesn’t mean that he’s not mad or disappointed. They both are, even D is. He loves his job but he loves Jack more and he hates that he’s only home for a couple of days instead of three weeks if they’d actually planned. Again Jane Seville proved what an amazing author she is. I just love her writing, it’s so emotional but also fun and really really sexy at times, like for example all of D’s and Jacks sex scenes. “You didn’t mind?” D looked at him. “Mind what?” “You know. The way I just kind of ... manhandled you.” D blushed. “Seem like I minded?” No matter how sad or depressing this short story was, she still managed to make me laugh. I’m usually not the biggest fan of short stories though but this is different. This is like continuing being part of Jack’s and D’s life. They grew so much on me, to me it really feels like they’re real people, living some place quite in American, enjoying their relationship, trying to handle their lives; their problems like regular couples do as well. Not everything is perfect in D and Jack’s world. D is somewhat jealous and he hates being away all the time. Jack – of course – doesn’t like it either but they are just so perfect in all their imperfections. The way D is trying to make everything work; to make them both work is adorable and so awesome. And the reason he does that is because he knows that Jack makes him feel happy; that he is the one who makes him feel complete. "Still hungry?” he said, coming back to the bed. “Bout ready ta eat this - what the hell ya call it?” “Duvet.” “Fuckin blanket, Jack.” “Well, don’t eat it, it was expensive. .." I really love when D shows some of his insecurities. It makes him so human. These two are just so damn cute when they argue and even cuter when they make up afterwards. I wish those stories were longer, much longer. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE can we have a sequel? I checked Jane’s Facebook and January 2016 I think it was she said something on her Facebook about that there may be a sequel in the future sometime but she can’t promise us anything. I’d totally freak out if we’d get another book; I would totally spend all my freaking money to get my hands on that sequel. I wish there already was one. I’m not giving up on that though.
