I enjoyed reading this book, I love the idea and the beginning felt very strong to me, it was a bit frustrating at times though, seeing the main character shoveling a hole for herself by going to the police without any actual evidence leading to them not necessarily taking her seriously later on which is to be somewhat expected. It all goes on for so long and the plot twist doesn't feel like this super shocking realisation where you have to put the book down before continuing to read. It sort of just happened and didn't felt as the big revealing this book built up to, I also am a little sad there weren't more hints pointing at Aidan as the murderer for the audience to find out. The ending left me feeling very hollow, it is fitting in a sense but the tiniest bit disappointing too but overall I still adored it, to me it feels like the characters have been very well thought out, the story fits together nicely, the placesthe story is set in don't vary too much, giving the opportunity to settle in this world yourself, getting to know the characters and the flats and the house. Poppy was lovely and it made me think about my childhood and how kids often aren't able to put their feelings and what they have witnessed into words, I believe this was very well depicted and thought out as well. I believe that's all I got to say. I liked it. It's not my favourite book ever but I think it is definitely worth picking up if you get the chance to.
