This series is great! Daniel Abraham avoids the mistakes that George R.R. Martin maybe did in adding too many POV characters and making it in parts confusing. The limited characters are well known from the first two books and get slightly more developed in this one. At first I expected it to suffer being the third in a five book series, but the pacing is excellent and the story arc gets constantly pushed forward by all character POVs, so you don't get bored. A lot of twists and turns with an ending that is a great set up for the next book.
