Seit The Unhoneymooners hab ich mir Christina Lauren gemerkt. Eine schöne Romanze, vorhersehbar, aber mit tollen Charakteren. Es macht einfach Spaß die Geschichte zu verfolgen.

Super für Zwischendurch

Ich habe ja aus Versehen den 2. Teil (The True Love Experiment) als erstes gelesen und wusste daher schon was passiert. Trotzdem hat mich noch interessiert, WIE es passiert, deshalb wollte ich dieses Buch unbedingt lesen. Wie immer bei Christina Lauren war es super unterhaltsam, witzig und cute. Die Hintergrundgeschichte fand ich richtig toll und gut umgesetzt. Durch den Score fühlt man die Gefühle von Jess und River irgendwie auch so groß mit, wie es sich für die beiden wahrscheinlich anfühlen muss. Wie immer waren auch die Nebencharaktere so gut geschrieben, dass man sie auch direkt in sein Herz schließen muss (Nana und Pops, Juno und Fizzy sowieso). Es hat für mich eigentlich alles gepasst und ich konnte es kaum aus der Hand legen und trotzdem hat es mich nicht ganz so abgeholt, wie andere CLo Bücher. Warum genau, kann ich allerdings gar nicht so genau sagen.

Dieses Buch war absolut schon, absolut romantisch und einfach unendlich toll geschrieben!

Süße & lustige Romcom

Eine wirklich süße Liebesgeschichte über einen Wissenschaftler und eine alleinerziehende Mutter, die sich durch ein perfektes „Match“ in einer Dating-App kennenlernen. Der Beginn der Handlung war tatsächlich etwas langwierig und eigentlich ging es erst wirklich in der Mitte des Buches so wirklich los. Aber ab da hat es mich einfach gefesselt. Ich habe alle Figuren wirklich geliebt! Ein Highlight war auf jeden Fall der Humor, der sich durch die ganze Geschichte gezogen hat. Eine echt tolle Romcom!

Vor einigen Monaten habe ich aus Versehen Band 2 gelesen und danach erst festgestellt, dass es einen ersten Band gibt. Dieser hat mir noch besser gefallen. Sympathische Akteure, tolle Love story, wobei es von hate zu love etwas sehr schnell ging.

It follows Jess, a single mother, who's skeptical of DNA-based matchmaking until she's unexpectedly matched with Dr. River Peña, a man she already knows and dislikes, with a 98% compatibility score. Drawn into a publicity campaign for the dating company GeneticAlly, Jess and River must pretend to be a couple, blurring the lines between calculated connection and genuine feelings. As they navigate public appearances and events, Jess begins to see a different side to River, and their initial animosity gives way to a deeper connection, even if it's not what the numbers predicted.

This book was very cute !! A nice idea and I liked the implementation of it. We have Jess aka Jessica a thirty year old woman and mother of seven year old Juno. Jess is very lovely and a chaotic mother of heart LMAO. The love interest we have is Dr. River Peña, one of the Co founder of GeneticAlly, a company aka some sort of dating app where you can find your soulmate with help of DNA. In a weak moment, Jess finds herself sending her spit to GeneticAlly and ends up having a 98 percent match with River🙈. The two end up spending a lot of time together doing interviews etc and growing closer. They have good chemistry !! As they grow closer, River spends a lot of time with her and her loved ones - with Juno, Jess daughter, her Nan and Pops and just being a part of her life. After a whole while, Jess finds out that they weren’t really a 98% match. The drama begins and the love between Jess and River came to a halt. Turns out, Rivers colleagues faked the data, because they knew that if it concerns River himself, he would take it more seriously and try love for himself. One character I really hated was Jess's Mother, she just used her for money and I was SO happy when Jess finally cut her off and decided not to have such a person in her and Junos life anymore. River and Jess made up and even though their match wasn’t 98 percent (we don’t know for sure tho since it wasn’t said) they found their soulmate. Both of them got a happy ending, and it was so so cute !! The epilogue was also very cute ((: This book had also everything you might need; Smut, angst and fluff💕. So yeah, would recommend to those who want a cute read HAHAH.

Just. The end. "We did it River Nicolas". The way he treats her daughter! This man is too good for the world. In conlusion: I have found my first official Bookboyfriend.

So the first chapter wasn’t really it. And over all I think the book was missing at the very least about 50 pages.I would have loved to read more about Jess and River connecting. Dating. Texting. Getting to know each other. They definitely had cute moments throughout but this went from strangers to lovers a bit too quick. They could barely spend time in the same room with each other, he didn’t even noticed her existing in the same coffee shop they both went to daily, and suddenly we are all flirty and touchy and cute and all that. I felt like we were missing something.Was there a third-act-break up ? Uh, I don’t know. Not really ? And thank god for that.The real heroes of this book are without a doubt Juno and Fizzy! Especially Juno and River’s relationship was super cute! 

Dieses Buch hat mich wirklich gut unterhalten. Es ist sicher keine Geschichte, bei der man mitdenken muss oder die überraschend ist. Aber mit dieser Intention bin ich auch gar nicht an das Buch ran gegangen. Ich hatte sehr viel Spaß mit Jess und River. Und das, obwohl ich den Ausgang der Handlung schon wusste, da ich ausversehen zuerst "The true love experiment" gelesen habe, das eigentlich der zweite Teil der DNA Duo Reihe ist. Das habe ich aber erst gemerkt, als ich nun dieses Buch gelesen habe. Dennoch war die Geschichte unterhaltsam und hat genau das gehalten, was es versprochen hat: eine lustige Liebesgeschichte mit viel Witz, ein bisschen Romantik und einer interessanten Ausgangslage.

Der Anfang war sehr ruhig und behäbig. Es hat eine Weile gedauert, bis das ganze Fahrt aufgenommen hat. Aber dann war ich richtig gefangen in den Alltagsproblemen der Protagonistin und den Beziehungsproblemen, die sich so ergaben. Dass die Protagonistin alleinerziehend ist wurde sehr gut aufgegriffen und spielte eine angemessene Rolle. Zu den Anfangsschwierigkeiten gesellt sich noch ein zweiter Kritikpunkt, und zwar die nicht ganz schlüssige Entwicklung des Protagonisten. Ich habe ihn im Verlauf sehr gemocht, aber für mich war das ein anderer Mensch als zu Beginn.

River is "skyscraper tall" and soOoOoOo BiiiiG. After trying two Christina Lauren books I've had to realize they are simply not the authors for me. The book was okay but I didn't feel a genuine connection between Jess and River until the last few chapters. It all felt very distant to me and the way the sex scenes in this were written was decidedly unsexy.

Loved the concept Was a cute & funsy read. The writing style wasn’t 100% my thing. River was a very cool protagonist and Juno was the cutest thing ever. Loved their interactions

Endlich eine Romanze ohne miscommunication!!

Eine solide Love Story - ich fand die Idee sehr interessant und Kinder in Büchern machen das ganze noch schöner. Am besten fand ich aber dass Jessie ihre Gefühle kommuniziert hat - es gibt nichts frustrierenderes als das Buch anzuschreien mit :"SAG IHM DAS DOCH!!"

This was such a great read !!! I was fun and easy and I had a good Time while reading. One thing I was curious about was wether it was explaining how this idea functions and they did. I love the characters especially Juno was sooo sweet and I love how Fizzy is and acts. Read it !!!

Al principio me aburrió un poco pero ya a la mitad empezó a ponerse interesante y nananana amé la relación de Jess con su hija, sus abuelos y River

The plot was sweet, but I felt like there was little build-up and it was too foreseeable.

Sehr schöne Romance

War wirklich angenehm und gut zu lesen. Auf englisch waren manche Passagen etwas kompliziert aber mit etwas mehr Zeit immernoch gut zu verstehen. Die Geschichte hat sich angenehm schnell entwickelt und es gab das typische Tief das überwunden wurde, aber angenehmerweise ohne das ganze Hin und Her danach. Kann ich wirklich empfehlen

The One but make it romantic

I love Christina and Laurens books!!!! This one was by far my favorite. Loved every second of this

If you love RomComs, then you will like this one. The characters are well written and the first half is a very enjoyable read. The rest is nothing new. (But I didn't expect it to be.) First kiss after half of the book, "almost" happy end after 2/3 of it, the typical bump in the story untill we arrive at the sugary happy ending were everything is well. No big surprises here, but a great easy summerread for a holiday.

I normally don't like it when the FC or MC is already a parent but I really loved it in this book.

Did a little reread. Still one of my favourite Christina Lauren reads.

I am keeping this one short and sweet, just like this book. I liked the concept a lot. Being matched up based on DNA and finding your soulmate through that. A little forced-proximity/fake-dating situation because their DNA matches 98%, is something I didn't know I needed in my life, but I totally did. On top of that all the characters were so lovable. I ADORE Riva. He is a profound, honest, caring and witty man and he ticks literally all of the boxes. Jesse is a relatable MC, as well as being an amazing mother, granddaughter, friend and person in general. Juno was a cute and funny kid that didn't get on my nerves. The tropes in this were so good, as was the writing. I was laughing out loud, giggling because of the cuteness and had happy tears in my eyes at the end. Riva and Jesse had a really healthy relationship. They felt very natural and I loved how they got to know each other. Also the TENSION. Another bonus was that I didn't feel the need to yeet my book across the room because of miscommunication or unnecessary drama, which is great. I don't know why this isn't talked about more. It has great banter, lovable characters and a solid plot and love story. Highly recommend.

Amo esos libros que me hacen creer en el amor, y me sacan sonrisas, además de que son super fáciles de leer y divertidos. No entendí mucho las estadísticas porque el prota es genetista y ella es analista o algo así, u ellos entienden su números y yo por más que lo leí no entendí entonces nunca comprendí porque ambos estaban molestos, pero bueno. —¿Recuerdas cuando estabas escribiendo My Alter Ego y me pediste que me pusiera la pierna detrás de la cabeza para… —Jess hizo comillas en el aire— ...ver si una persona normal podía hacerlo? Fizzy frunció el ceño, pensando. —Vagamente. —Me tiré del tendón de la corva y apenas pude caminar durante una semana. Para ti y tu libro. Pero le dijiste a Daniel que me había desgarrado un músculo vaginal en un accidente sexual. Me debes. —Voy a matarte en el próximo libro de Crimson Lace. Ciertamente Fizzy y Juno son lo mejor de libro. Las amo.
