This book centers on Etta, a 17-year-old violin prodigy. During one of her performances, she is thrust back in time to the eighteenth century. I have read mixed reviews about this novel but based on the synopsis and the fantastic cover I decided to give it a chance. The positive thing to say is that I found the locations very interesting (a ship during the American Revolution, war-time London, Cambodia, ....). BUT the story is so incredibly slow and boring that I had to push myself to pick it up. Another big no-no for me is when I can't connect with the characters at all. Here I couldn't care less about the insta-love and what happened to all of them. ‘Passenger’ was just not what I wanted it to be. I'd like to know what happens next but will not read the next book in the series.
