2 Novellen in einem Buch
Der ersten Novella würde ich ohne zu zögern glatte 5 Sterne geben. Das Buch hatte einfach alles was ich mir von einem Spin Off zu Tate und Jared gewünscht hatte. Die zweite Novella hat meine Aufmerksamkeit nicht mehr komplett beansprucht. Ich war Anfangs etwas durcheinander um was es hier jetzt eigentlich geht. Nachdem ich jetzt den Epilog beendet habe, bin ich mir fast schon sicher dass Quinn und Lucas noch Ihr eigenes Buch bekommen werden. Hier hat man eher viel mehr über die Geschichte von Jareds Mutter und Madocs Vater erfahren. Anfangs fand ich das recht uninteressant. Es hat sich aber als sehr gelungene Ergänzung entpuppt. Ich würde der zweiten Novella 3,75-4 Sterne geben. Generell gilt: wenn ihr Fan der Bully Reihe seid, solltet Ihr dieses Buch auf jedenfall lesen. Es hat mir sehr viel Spaß gemacht.
Aflame 2⭐️ Jared and Tate were never my favorite couple of the series and honestly? I didn't really need this part. What especially bothered me: Jared never had a good reason to leave Tate! Okay, it was to find himself, but he didn't have to leave for that and he definitely didn't have to leave Tate behind. Especially when you look at what exactly his career is! Also, I didn't think their reactions were quite right. As soon as Jared is back, she breaks up with the guy? Yeah, okay. He wasn't the one, but after all the bullshit Jared pulled, I would have expected more begging and effort. But since it wasn't all bad, I'll get to the positives here: I thought it was very cool to see how the characters evolved and that despite their change, they were still the same at their core. And Quinn was also a highlight! Next to Never 4⭐️ This was one of the best novellas I've ever read. Let's start with the positive things: I loved that Quinn was taken as the teenage protagonist. The whole relationship with her brothers and cousins was just beautifully done, and also gave the reader another insight into the children of the original protagonists. That was definitely one of my highlights! That we have learned the story of her parents together with Quinn? Brilliant idea! The only thing that didn't work for me was who exactly sent her the book. Somehow I don't quite understand the point, but that doesn't make the story any less good.
