Better than expected

I didn't really have high expectations for this play, but I was pleasantly surprised. Even though the writing style is complicated, I was able to enjoy the story. The plot is interesting though, at times, quite foreseeable. Nevertheless, I liked the themes of the play and the way in which they were explored. To sum up the plot: Shylock, the play's antagonist, is set on going through with a plan that will cost the protagonist, Antonio, his life. However, the other characters are determined to save their dear friend from his untimely death. In the mean time, two of Antonio's friends are on a quest for love.
