Musik durch und durch. Außergewöhnliches Debüt!
Must read for Historical Fiction lovers!!! 🎻🎼✨
The book blew me away, but let’s start from the outside. I think the visual design of the book is beautiful! I love the cover and the shiny dots. The number of pages was also perfect. ✨ Now let’s get to the „inside“. Harriet has an incredibly beautiful writing style. I literally devoured the book and whizzed through the pages. The sentences are well formulated and the characters are well complemented by the writing style. For example, Anna Maria’s self-confidence is emphasized by short, clear sentences. 🎶 The book has many sad parts, but gives a good insight into the circumstances in the beginning of 1700. The relationship between men and women and between rich and poor is beautifully portrayed. 💫 I have mixed feelings about Anna Maria. At the beginning I felt very sorry for her, then I didn’t like her and at the end I was very proud of her. 🎻 I recommend the book to anyone who wants to get an impression of Venice at that time and wants to question the historical role of men in various areas. 🎼 „He“, Antonio Vivaldi, was a multifaceted character for me, who I now see with completely different eyes... The Pieta girls can be proud of themselves. This book really made me think about all the credit that might have been stolen from girls and women… do we hype certain people who have stolen the work from others who couldn’t speak up? Who really was an idol and who is just a filthy liar? The book is an absolute recommendation and definitely one of my highlights of the year! 🤎 ________________________________
