Too bad I wasted so much time on reading this book. In between, I almost put it away but continued until the bitter end because I read every book in the series so far and was hoping that it would become better. One reason why I liked (most of) the Decker series was the personal story next to the crime story. In "The Hunt," the focus is much more on Chris Donatti and his ex-wife Terry with an abundance of detailed descriptions of their sex life that I could very well have done without. Why the author had to sum them up again in the last chapter is also incomprehensible. The crime story is boring and missing suspense. Somewhere I read that this will be the last book in this series and that is probably for the better. I don't think I would want to read another one.
