Beschreibung

Thor's hammer is missing again. The thunder god has a disturbing habit of misplacing his weapon--the mightiest force in the Nine Worlds. But this time the hammer isn't just lost, it has fallen into enemy hands. If Magnus Chase and his friends can't retrieve the hammer quickly, the mortal worlds will be defenseless against an onslaught of giants. Ragnarok will begin. The Nine Worlds will burn. Unfortunately, the only person who can broker a deal for the hammer's return is the gods' worst enemy, Loki--and the price he wants is very high.

Stop that, I told my brain. Also, the wedding is tomorrow, said my brain. Get out of my head. My brain refused to get out of my head. Inconsiderate brain. It took me quite a while to get into this book again. Once again, the chapter titles are amazing and the randomness of specific things annoyed me in the second book as well (for example Blitzen working on the bowling bag, the tournament against the giants that followed…) It’s can be a bit too much. I’m also starting to get annoyed by his portrayal of the Gods. However, as soon as the wedding came near, the book started to pick up pace and I was absolutely intrigued. What I liked most about this book was Alex. Alex was SUCH an interesting character and I love it that Riordan included a gender fluid character in a children’s book! With Alex being a child of Loki, it makes a lot of sense. I CAN’T WAIT FOR MAGNUS TO MEET PERCY Also, I ship Magnus and Alex so hard.
