I'm a little torn between being really mesmerized and feeling normal. When reading a thriller you will expect plottwist to happen. Carter did not disappoint like always. I really couldn't guess the PT at all. However, it wasn't the jaw-dropping PT I had when reading Kruzifix-Killer. Still, I really liked the book and would recommend it!!

This book was a bit disappointing to me. I really did not like the supernatural element in this novel. It really didn't add anything to the story. The original story of a revenge-filled killer was already interesting, it had a lot of psychological points and the mystery of the detective game was well thought-out. So absolutely no need for this magical seer stuff. The feeling and knowing of crimes.. I was so baffled when this first come up in the novel. I thought I got the wrong book, wrong series maybe? Just strange and unhelpful, more like annoying and bothersome. Hopefully the next book is better or I might stop with this series soon. I’m already getting a bit annoyed with the main character- Robert Hunter. A bit too perfect and superhumanly wonderful. A bit stupid but alright, but at the end of the book one noticed logical flaws just to make the main character more heroic. (Spoiler: You have one cop with a broken nose and one who got shot in the arm… which one gets to run off to save the girl?)

4.5/5 First off, if you can’t handle animal cruelty, you should probably stay away from this book, or read with caution! I overall enjoyed the second case of Detective Robert Hunter a lot! The rather short chapters kept me interested, some light / funny moments were sprinkled in, and I loved that we learn a bit more about Hunters past! It also was more graphic and darker in my opinion. And even tho the first book already had an amazing twist at the end, this was even better! Also - I kinda did feel some sympathy with the killer, which is rare.
