Aber was könnte letztendlich passender für diese Geschichte sein, denn auch diese ist eine Suche. Eine Suche nach einem Wolf. Nach gestohlenen Pferden. Nach Gerechtigkeit. Nach Rache. Sinnhaftigkeit. Die Charaktere ebenso Akteure wie die Landschaft, in der sie sich bewegen. Einfach alles ist stimmig, grausam authentisch und jeder einzelne Satz ging mir durch und durch. Die emotionale Kraft der Erzählung, entstehend durch die enorme Bildhaftigkeit, aber doch stets nur angedeutete Spannung, lässt sich meines Erachtens nur durch das Lesen des Buches und nicht einer Zusammenfassung dessen erleben.
