“there’s a universe swirling inside you. you have to learn to be your own earth, wind, fire and water. you are a natural phenomenon— not a natural disaster.” I didn't hate this. I didn't love it, either. But I liked it, which is more than I can say for most of the other poetry books I reviewed. The one I quoted really stood out to me. The poems were quite sensual, but not uncomfortably so.
