Silly me, not writing a review after the first time reading this... This book, like all others, has its flaws. The love interest stuff all goes by too quickly. We spend 200+ pages with Marek in and out of the picture. Then in the last 50, Lennox loves Nina. I like Nina a lot. She's a character I'll remember for a long time, mostly because I wish I could have her life of being able to pick up and plant myself down and be okay doing that. Not to mention her book matchmaking abilities - she has me beat to that. This book is one of the only things that made me genuinely smile back in the first three months of 2020 when I'm pretty sure I read it the first time. I could be remembering wrong. But the point is that it made me smile and I appreciated it a lot and it stuck with me because I know it just made me smile again. Now, to finish the rest of the series...
I am passionate about books, I love Scotland - I had high hopes for this book! And the forward (A message to Readers) was hilarious! BUT for the rest of the book It was an absolute pain to get through. Lame and boring. Thought this was going to be a book about books, but it was a damn boring romance novel with non-dimensional characters and an annoying heroine. Cannot recommend!
