I was never a fan of witches. Especially not witch books, but I wanted something different and here I’m. I love it!
Fantastischer Auftakt zur Trilogie!
It's sad that this book starts so very slow, because as soon as it picks up, I fell in love with this story. The worldbuilding is interesting enough that it got me through the first 30% of this book, before the more interesting part started, relationships were built up that I got invested in and the format, that felt weird and was hard to get into at first, finally made sense. In the end, this second part is what made reading this book worthwhile after all and interested in how this story continues :)

Definitely got Memoirs of a geisha vibes with this one and I loved the Necromancy aspect. I do agree that Tea feels very OP but I do like seeing women kick ass so I wasn't that bothered by it. I liked her much better than the wizard in The name of the wind where the chapters also switched between present and past events. A very enjoyable read and I'll definitely finish this series.
