No way this was 600 pages 😹
Tbh - I was a bit worried that the second book wouldn’t live up to the first one - let’s be honest, the first was just amazing. But I have to say, I wasn’t disappointed at all. Was it as good as the first? No, not really. BUT to be fair, the first one was on another level. Still, this was an absolutely fantastic read. Super exciting, incredibly immersive. I was hooked from start to finish. Every moment pulled me in, and before I even realized it, I had flown through all 600 pages in just two days. The writing style? Brilliant. The story? Just as gripping. Love, war, a lot of emotions (, spicee) - this book had it all. 🔥
We're in the aftermath of the events from the first book. Raihn and Oraya both suffer from what happend. At the same time they want to free their people from the bloodborn. i love the way their relationship is portrayed. and how everything develops. Every feeling is conveyed perfectly which makes you fall in love with the characters even more. and even more in raihn. The ending was again so emotionally challenging, my emotions were all over the place.

I don't have words which would describe what I felt during readings. This book has my heart. It was a fucking roller coaster and I loved it. 💜
Loved it.
Epic fantasy story with a beautiful love aspect! I loved the whole world building and how the story was told after the first book and Oraya and Rhain?🫢LOVE!! How he treats her was just so cute. I think we all need a Rhain Ashraj.
Okay, everyone seems to love this book but I just…don’t? I already felt meh with the first instalment but at least the games made the plot interesting and entertaining to read (what does that say about me?). Now, this second was a lot happening and nothing happening at the same time. Solutions seemed very out of nowhere ex-machina style. Interesting aspects (like a society of vampires frozen as children with a deeply disturbed „mother“) were over in the blink of an eye. And there was no character development, just learning to wield powers (that again were pretty ex-machina convenient)
this book has my heart
