I am fascinated by the royals, but I wouldn't want to be part of that environment for anything in the world and I can absolutely understand that he (and some before him! ) wanted to get out of it. And I can also absolutely understand the aversion to the press. However, the book (precisely because I don't want to judge what disagreements exist/existed within the family) didn't negatively affect my personal opinion of him, his family and the other royals.
