Thanks to netgalley and Random House UK for the ARC in exchange for an honest review. This is my third book by Anna McPartlin, one I liked and one I didn't like that much, so my expectations were high and low at the same time. Unfortunately "Somewhere inside of happy" is another of her books which I didnt't like. First, the language in this book was very annoying for me. Expressions like "me da" instead of "my dad" and several others just were grammatically wrong and hurt my love for the English language. The story itself sounded interesting and the start into the book wasn't too bad but I didn't like the way the story was told. The next problem was that I found it immensely boring. There wasn't very much happening and too many unimportant details were told. The ending was really tragic and nothing what I expected but on the same time I found a bit lame after the disappearing of Jeremy was the only what made me continue with the book. The characters couldn't persuade me either. They remained distant and not very likable to me. They just couldn't transport the emotion for me. The story definetely had a big emotional potential but it could hardly ever touch me.
