Tropes: – badass FMC – MC romance – Lana Myers vibe – spicy – bad girl x bad boy – dark romance
I just LOVE Ryan…she gives me Lana Myers vibes, but personality– and story–wise she is definitely her own person and you can‘t and shouldn‘t compare these two, but there vibes match in the best kind of ways. They are the kind of female protagonist I love to read about, and always search for. Gunner is a pretty amazing MMC and love interest as well. At first I wasn‘t wholly convinced, when he and the MC guys came along with their biker–macho–blabla, thinking she was a man. But as far as first impressions go, Gunner turned the odds in his favour. I‘m impressed by the revelations regarding his character and his backstory. That said I think the book doesn‘t go into heavy detail plot–wise, and that made me not as hooked as I could have been if that was the case. The story is in my opinion predictable to a certain degree, that didn‘t robb me of the fun I had while reading it – Ryan can carry this book on her shoulders, no questions asked. But I think it would easily be a highlight if the plot hooked me as much as the characters did. Character–wise I‘m curious about Scarletta, the FMC of the second book, who I already had the pleasure of meeting here. I expect a lot from her…maybe she can surpass Ryan, we will see… 4/5⭐️ (though 5/5 for Ryan) 3/5🌶️
