Der Einstieg in Sicko war zunächst etwas holprig – viele Andeutungen, eine düstere Grundstimmung und Figuren, bei denen man sich erst orientieren musste. Doch sobald die Geschichte in Fahrt kam, entfaltete sich ein fesselndes Dark-Romance-Drama voller Geheimnisse, Spannung und düsteren Wendungen. Amo Jones schafft es, eine intensive Atmosphäre aufzubauen, die unter die Haut geht. Die Beziehung zwischen den Hauptfiguren ist ebenso zerstörerisch wie leidenschaftlich – nichts für zarte Gemüter, aber genau das macht den Reiz aus. Einmal drin, will man wissen, wie tief das Ganze noch geht. Fazit: Nach einem zähen Start ein packender, düsterer Pageturner mit Suchtfaktor.

I hate when books put everything plottwisting in the last chapter and rush the hell out of the story. And i hate that the reader is kept in dark for SO long about so many things, it did not contribute to the plottwist it just contributed to confusion and it seemed like the author had some last minute ideas and put them in the last few chapters I hated this gosh, every single character, every single single page and word and i hate that I had to waste my time reading about these stupid bitches
Mochte es wieder so gerne! Hatte erst Bammel dass die eigentlich Auflösung der ganzen Story nicht so überraschend ist wie ich es erwartet hab, aber ich wurde nicht enttäuscht. Ich war oftmals zwischendurch extrem verwirrt aber es hat sich letztendlich gelohnt. Fand es richtig gut und bin auch sehr auf Wicked seine Story gespannt.

Sicko ist ein Dark Romance Buch, dass mir immer mal wieder auf Tik Tok empfohlen wurde. Die Autorin hat eine explizite Triggerwarnung (ich meine natürlich ein deliziöses Menü) ganz vorn platziert und das war meiner Meinung nach auch gut so. Sicko, der Name des Buches ist Programm. Für manche Girls and Boys mag es noch eines der harmloseren Dark Romance Bücher sein aber die Themen der Handlung sich durchaus Heavy. Adoptivbruder und -Schwester, Geheimnisse die sie von einander trennen und ein verbotener Wunsch nach mehr als Geschwisterliebe. So würde ich das Buch wohl grob beschreiben ohne zu Spoilern. Ich habe es kaum aus der Hand legen können und obwohl ich das ganze Buch über so eine Ahnung hatte, war ich vom Plot(twist) sehr überrascht und fand ihn sehr gut gemacht. Das Ende war ein wenig…zu perfekt, aber das hat für mich nichts daran geändert, dass es ein gutes Buch war.

3,5⭐️ I had big hopes for this book, but I just couldn’t get into the story. I liked the spicy scenes, there were hot for sure. But I didn’t developed any feelings to the fmc. She was a little annoying all the time. I understand that there were secrets that needed to be kept till the end but I felt that when they just fcking talked, it would so much easier for everyone. And then I hate the pregnancy trope at the end. The whole end was to much of a Happy End. Not that I didn’t wanted it to be a hea, but it felt like a fairytale Happy End. I don’t know…
While everyone els is starring at a wall I’m just searching for this wall. What should I do now? Amo created a story that kept me reading and I always wanted to know what comes next. All those dark teams featured in this book made this reading experience for me really intense. To write this review is still not easy for me because collecting all those words for what reading this book made me feel is hard. This author is a total dark romance queen for me because her books as this one also are giving me all the feels but the good ones and the bad ones. All those dialogues in the story had the right tone so that while I never felt of with my feelings. My heart is still racing when I think back what happend wich paths this rollercoaster
