Eine süße Geschichte
Vorab: Ich habe dieses Buch auf kroatisch gelesen und kann daher keine Aussagen zum deutschen Schreibstil treffen. Hinter diesem Buch steckte eine wirklich süße Liebesgeschichte. Ich habe jedes Mal gerne zum Buch gegriffen und wollte wissen, wie es mit Holly und Calvin weitergeht. Gegen Ende des Buches kam überraschend guter Spice rein 🌶️. Insgesamt eine leichte Geschichte, die man gut mal zwischendurch lesen kann.

What a snoozefest. I liked the Broadway setting and I like how Holland does not have her sh** together just yet. Many people in their mid-twenties don't and I like when that is represented in fiction. However, she was sooooo insecure while she has had such a smooth ride in her life. I'm not saying she doesn't have a reason to be insecure. It just wasn't explained well enough for me. Also, I didn't feel Calvin. And Calvin with Holland at all. Meh. Not the greatest start to my reading year of 2018...
“And it doesn’t have to look right now the way you want it to look in ten years.” “But I think that’s what scares me the most. I’m terrified it will look the same in ten years […]” “You don’t know that. You have no way of knowing. All you can do is forge your path.” Not that big of a fan of this book. I liked the blurb because it sounded like something I’ve never read before. I read so much about the author and expected to laugh a lot while reading this book, but that never happened. I was bored most of the time and the characters weren’t that interesting either. The writing wasn’t that great either. There’s one line which goes like “he had his octopus hands all over me” and I just thought “Please don’t.” What I did like though was the setting. I do love a good Broadway show and it was nice to read a bit about the casting decision. The only thing I liked about Holland is that she’s 25 and still doesn’t have her life figured out after she finished uni. I hope other Christina Lauren books are better than that.
