This is a fun read but it very much feels like a looooong introduction. I liked the FMC and think that book 2 will make her even more interesting. The MMC is a hot commander but we kind of see nothing of him. It’s all very surface level development and I thought that is a shame. There is yearning but also I don’t get the development of their romance - cause they never talk more than 1-2 pages. So that was really lacking. I think book 2 will get way better because we will hopefully get to know more of this world - because there sure is a lot to tell and it’s unique so far. I did enjoy all the side characters! I think there was not a lot of plot - thats why I have this “novella”/“prologue”-feeling. I would recommend but not enthusiastically ;) I will continue though.
