I have been eagerly awaiting this book because I am 110% invested in the Forsyth University series by Samgel! This is book 8 of (assuming) 15 and each time, these amazing writers do it again – leave me barely hanging on for the next book! If you haven’t started this series, I highly recommend it if you are a RH fan with a dark twist – this is right up your alley! I always recommend everyone read the trigger warnings, though, as some of “darkness” can be too much for folks. **Some spoilers below** In PoA, we return to our favorite characters of the moment: Verity, Lex, Pace, and Wicker. At the end of Princes of Chaos (PoC), which is the first book for the Princes in this series, we are left with so much curiousity, wondering what the heck was going to happen after both Verity and King Ashby drop doozies of info on us! I was worried I would not find it easy to forgive the Princes in PoA, but the fact that all four main characters (Princes + Princess) are broken and end up realizing they have a common goal to work towards, and not just the baby, I found myself silently rooting for their relationships to develop in a positive light in this book. Samgel did not disappoint! Verity is everything I expected as a pregnant mother. Likewise, I fully expected Lex and Pace to overbearing and protective towards both Verity and the baby, and of course they were both! The character I found myself sympathizing with the most and really enjoying how his relationship with Verity blossomed is Wicker. We already know all of these guys have a tumultuous past with their adopted father, and some of those scars are really hard to move on from when it comes to giving someone else (Verity) the opportunity to nurture and love them, but I really felt the bond between Wicker and Verity in this book. I've been rooting for Wicker to get his head out of his @ss for a while
