I've always been open-minded about any Jane Austen Sequel. Being so I had no problem with the idea of any zombies around in the world of Jane Austen. In fact, I quite liked it. Of course it's strange or comical or what else you call it. But I think, the author did really well. You just shouldn't take it to seriously. Read it and enjoy and DON'T ask yourself whether Jane Austen would like or not.
I liked the movie better. One star for the idea, the second for this part: "She [Lizzy] remembered the lead ammunition in her pocket and offered it to him. "Your balls, Mr. Darcy?" He reached out and closed her hand around them, and offered, 'They belong to you, Miss Bennet.' "
I do not think that this is a bad book in general. It just is not my cup of tea. Maybe I read it to close to the original Pride and Prejudice...
3.5 - 4 stars I love Jane Austen and I like Zombies so I was really interested how this’d turn out. I really liked a lot of the story but some parts just didn’t fit in / make sense for me at all... Especially the whole Wickham thing felt kind of wrong...
DNF Does anything happen in this book?? I read the first hundred pages, and it is just Pride and Prejudice word for word with Zombies mentioned and some of the dialogue cut short. I LOVED the idea, but the zombies don't seem to matter aside from a few jokes. i'm disappointed
