The hunt is on story: Theta, child of two human interstellar colonists witnesses the brutal murder of her parents by a Predator. Saved by the spaceship's A.I. Sandy the daughter promises revenge. Years have passed and Theta has become a force to be reckoned with and with every sucessfull hunt she comes closer and closer to her actual prey... rating: The first issue of "Predator" really caught me. Brisson delivers an intruiging start for his run. An emotional backstoy sets the base for what's to come. Theta's motives are understandable and her development is great. It's fresh to see the prey become the hunters. As a new-comer in the Predator business I feel entertained as well as informed. I learned some new things in this comic and actually understood what they were talking about - so that's off for a good start. The art by Kev Walker does the rest - it's clear, smooth yet a bit dirty - of course the green blood is always an outstanding point of interest. conclusion: A great start for this series - recommended for everybody interested. 5/5
