When I was younger I wanted to watch the Disney version of Peter Pan. I made it through the first 20 minutes or so and than I quit and never ever touched that movie again. Not because I thought it was boring or scary or something like that, it was the fact that I couldn't stand Peter himself. Like ... how can one single boy can be so selfish and annoying and ugh? I hated him and I still do, actually. Anyways, as I consider Peter Pan to be a classic and as I thoght he wouldn't be as horrible in the novel, I decided to give the book a try. Turns out Peter is still a selfish little shit. And this is mainly the reason why I didn't enjoy this book at all. Plus it feels like I am not made for reading children books. Not my cup of tea. Apparently, my inner child does not want to read those books. (seriously, I mean, I know why this book lacks depths - I mean, it's written for children - but still. This story had no details at all.) It was okayish to read, but nothing I'll remember for a long time. (Plus while reading I was constantly thinking "Remember when you read that fact that the Lost Boys are all dead?")
