On the other side, the influential Fedorov brothers serve their father, the crime boss known as Koschei the Deathless, whose ventures dominate the shadows of magical Manhattan.

After twelve years of tenuous co-existence, one family member brutally crosses the line. Bad blood reignites old grudges; at the same time, fate intervenes with a chance encounter between enemies. In the wake of love and vengeance, everyone must choose a side. As each of the siblings struggles to stake their claim, bloodshed in inevitable.

The question is: Whose?

At first I thought this would be a great story, since I do love enemy/ lovers books. However, I didn't quite get the connection between Lev and Sasha so I can't really buy their undying love and the plot completely lost me when being "dead" became just a temporary state.

The atlas six Buchreihe gefällt mir allerdings besser.

Not quite my taste

Well, this book was certainly serving what it said on the Cover. Romance, rivalry and revenge in abundance but I was still kinda...hoping for more, I guess? The characters seemed more of a concept of power than actual people, actually, the whole story was more of a concept than fleshed out. Every character was edgy and immensely powerful and while that is fun for a while, for me it became kind of tiresome and repetitive :') They somehow where described to much and with too little detail to feel real and tangible at the same time. Does this make sense? The idea of connecting the plot with 'Romeo and Juliet' and taking some of the motives was cool on the one hand. On the other hand... How can a tragedy work if the people in it are too powerful to having to face the consequences and the sadness? I don't know, everything felt too much under control. I couldn't really...buy into the whole deal. Still, I am sure that some people would love it as their daily dose of edginess and there are some quotable passages for drama queens. Not really for me though.

I am hopelessly romantic

It is a perfect different version of Romeo & Juliet and I am in love. Lev Fedorov is the perfect man written by a women. Not a spicy book but a book with spice that gives you that wholesome tingling feeling. I can’t say more, I loved it. I tagged it so much. I want a romance like Lev and Sasha

Genial!

I couldn't really summarize this story in any meaningful way, but I love the intricate language and the subtle humor and the way this story managed to surprise me by making me cry in the end, when I least expected it.

Bitter, Sweet, Tragic

Urban Fantasy meets Romeo and Julia.

3,75⭐️ This would be a 4 star read, but some things that should feel permanent didn’t which took away from the emotional impact. ( if I say it more directly it’ll be a spoiler) The set of characters we followed were really compelling. I couldn’t put this book down and rushed through it. That might have been a mistake tho, because I didn’t understand some parts of the book. (especially the ending like what???) Either it’s me or it wasn’t clear enough from the writing idk. Anyway I loved this take on Romeo& Juliet. Usually not the biggest witch fan but it was done so well here. Lev Fedorov is literally god sent, prove me wrong
