Beschreibung

The New York Times bestselling he-said/she-said rock n’ roll romance that inspired the motion picture starring Michael Cera (Juno, Arrested Development) and Kat Dennings (Thor, TV’s 2 Broke Girls)!

"I know this is going to sound strange, but would you mind being my girlfriend for the next five minutes?"

Nick frequents New York's indie rock scene nursing a broken heart. Norah is questioning all of her assumptions about the world. They have nothing in common except for their taste in music, until a chance encounter leads to an all-night quest to find a legendary band's secret show and ends up becoming a first date that could change both their lives.

Co-written by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan, co-author of WILL GRAYSON, WILL GRAYSON with John Green (THE FAULT IN OUR STARS), NICK & NORAH’S INFINITE PLAYLIST is a sexy, funny roller coaster of a story that reminds you how you can never be sure where the night will take you…

This movie tie-in edition also includes an 8-page photo insert from the film, as well as a map of Manhattan, detailing all of the sites Nick and Norah go to on their all-night date.

OMG I love this book! It was different but beautiful at the same time, unbelieveable! The book is about two people unhappily in love: Nick who was left by his 6-months girlfriend Tris 3 weeks ago and is still not over her, and Norah who can't stop thinking about her on-off ex-boyfriend Tal whose gone to South Afrika for a kibbutz. They meet late at night at a gig of Nick's queercore band, The Fuck Offs when Nick asks Norah who happens to stand next to him to become his five-minute-girlfriend to avoid talking to Tris. But for some reason, Norah doesn't only become his five-minute-girlfriend but something entirely different and the night turns into some kind of Odysey of it's own and slowly it seems like Nick might just be what Norah has needed, and vice versa. I liked how Rachel Cohn and David Leviathan were able to create two such wholesome characters in less than 200 pages. Nick and Norah are believeable and likeable, but not at all perfect people. They do and say stupid things sometimes, are impulsive and emotional. But that makes them almost real, almost alive. I could really relate to their feelings and thoughts and thought the book, though a teen-book, beautifully written. The two main characters have feelings and thoughts, some deep, some shallow and it was delightful for me to read the book being able to find myself in them. A book to read, re-read and enjoy again and again! Beautiful.
